Job Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Associate's duties change from day to day. Certain tasks such as mowing and landscaping are necessary on an ongoing basis. Other tasks come in as requests from program staff, which may include plumbing, electrical work or work on the physical structure of facilities. Maintenance staff also engage in major building and remodeling tasks from time to time. These projects will be labor intensive and require a variety of skills. In addition, programs at times may move to a new facility, or staff even shift office space, requiring moving assistance from Maintenance. The Maintenance Associate must be willing to take a great deal of direction from the Facilities Manager, and be flexible around schedules and duties.
The Maintenance Associate must have their own vehicle and a valid driver's license. High school education and previous maintenance experience and/or specialized training in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, is preferred. Must be able to read written instructions. Must be able to communicate well in writing or speaking. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
