POSITION SUMMARY
The Part-Time Sales Associate will provide customer service, direct service and assistance as needed to girls, volunteers and staff.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
? Greet and render courteous and helpful service to all office visitors.
? Courteously answer multiple line phones and provide accurate information in response to inquiries and/or refer callers to appropriate staff.
? Behave in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
? Knowledge of POS system and inventory control system of resale items with the ability to perform the POS opening and closing on a daily basis.
? Knowledge of deposits, cashiering functions, and receipts of money daily.
? Completion of work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
? Ensure proper tracking of check-out items including equipment, library, home studies.
? Ensure proper reserving/booking of on-site meeting rooms.
? Ensure that office equipment is operating correctly; maintained and ample supplies are available. Notify Network Administrator of needed repairs/replacements.
? Ensure diversity and pluralism is embraced and incorporated into the work of the council.
? Ensure the success of the council by working in partnership with functional units, contributing to a team environment and subscribing to the overall objectives set forth in the council?s strategic plan.
? Other duties as assigned.
Skills Required:
QUALIFICATIONS
? Be a currently registered member of Girl Scouts of the USA or willing to become one.
? High school diploma or equivalent; minimum of 1 year office experience with demonstrated ability to multi-task and above average attention to detail.
? Experience as a receptionist or a customer service field.
? Possess the capacity to successfully complete a criminal and background search as a required condition of employment.
? Demonstrate excellent communication skills and human relation skills (tact and discretion with individuals and confidential information).
? Exhibit ability to work independently and be self-motivated in a team environment.
? Possess strong planning, organizational, and recording keeping skills.
? Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, including ability to resolve conflict and maturity of judgment.
? Possess good basic math skill and the ability to make change.
? Possess the ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings/weekends; occasional overnights may be required. Ability to travel as job requires.
? Possess proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows, POS and Internet Explorer technology.
? Exhibit the ability to provide positive customer service to girls and volunteers.
? Demonstrate a commitment to the mission of the Girl Scout movement and ability to communicate the mission to others.
? Possess a valid driver?s license that meets the council insurance company?s requirement for coverage.
? Exhibit desire to improve and develop professionally.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
? Walking, standing, bending, stooping, reaching and climbing ladder. Must be able to sit at a work station and/or a computer screen for up to 2 hours at a time.
? Occasional exposure to seasonal weather conditions.
? Heavy lifting 20-30 pounds.
