Position Desired: Carpenter

Cover Letter:
The past two years I participated in an apprenticeship program where I was employed by a company and I was able to take courses to improve my carpentry skills. Because of the program, I was able to gain experiences that have prepared me as a skilled carpenter. My experiences range from hanging drywall, building decks, trim work, windows and door installation, and so much more. I have a strong working knowledge of performing tasks that involve precise measurements, knowledge of safety precautions to avoid hazardous situations, and following directions and instructions in written and verbal form.

Before becoming a carpenter apprentice, I had an opportunity to work for Hy-Vee as a Kitchen Manager. That position required positive collaboration with employees and communication with customers. At Hy-Vee I maintained a positive attitude while working in a fast past environment, and motivating and supervising staff to complete daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
