Bang bang look at them run. Seems to be a problem when people come together. School's universities shopping malls or just eating at a restaurant. Guns are not the problem.

If this was at all real, then there will be some REAL talk in Congress about gun control. We'll see.
@skutfarcus :
I wish there was real talk about real reform but it's a political football.

So, there's video that's popped up about a couple of guys from Fox 5 talking about the poor security before the event: "They have like two random chicks holding the front door open. Like guys, they're not even trying anymore...they're not even secret service people.
It's like the girls who work here are holding the door." One of the guys went on to say that they might as well use a doorstop and a scarecrow. bsky.app/profile/cwe bbonline.com/post/3m kipthoar22o

@chriscervantez :
It's almost like they fired all the competent people and replaced with incompetent sycophants.

Very interesting to me... I see a whole lot of people on the right that are calling this (and Butler) staged. Just as many (that I'm seeing) as on the left for Butler. And more from the right than the left about this one. (But is quite numerous from both camps) It's hard to believe a habitual liar... So I understand why people don't believe him. But I'm not as convinced this one was planned.

Something to think about. From my FB:
"They finally felt it. And you know they still won't do a thing about it.
One Republican after another went on record describing the visceral, bodily terror of suddenly being in the middle of a shooting.
Welcome to the lived experience of millions of children across this country.
Except those children don't have Secret Service. They have lockdown drills. They have bulletproof backpack inserts. They have teachers trained to stack desks against doors and whisper to terrified six-year-olds to stay quiet and stay low.
And every single time it happens - every single time another classroom becomes a crime scene and another parent gets the call no parent should ever get - these same Republicans walk back into the Capitol, look into the cameras, and offer thoughts. Prayers. Condolences. Then they vote no. No to universal background checks. No to red flag laws. No to closing gun show loopholes. No to anything that might make it the slightest bit harder for the next shooter to walk into the next school. Because the gun lobby owns them. Because their base has been told gun safety is tyranny. Because they have decided, over and over again, with full knowledge of the body count, that this is acceptable. They know what the fear feels like now. They felt it in their chests. They felt it in their legs as they ran. Will all the tears amount to anything?
Children feel it in American classrooms with frightening regularity.
The difference is those children can't vote, can't lobby, and can't donate to a campaign. Republicans can. And they still choose the guns."

The doors into the ballroom were replaced about a year ago. They are not bullet proof but very heavy. The shooter had a room on the 10t floor. He walked down the stairs from the 10th floor to avoid detection. On the day of the shooting, guests were funneled through certain doors upon entering the hotel. There were more people at the dinner than even the proposed ballroom would be able to accommodate. In fact most of the events where the president speaks at the Washington Hilton they were be too large for the ballroom;,

Has anything ever been mentioned how much, or if any ammunition was recovered in the supposed "assassination attempt"? It seems to me that is something that is always brought to the forefront in the investigation process.

While there are a LOT of suss things, the one thing I keep coming back to is that if it were staged, they wouldn't highlight their utter incompetence. They would make themselves look heroic (as much as possible... "fight, fight, fight!"
DennisinPeoria reacted CCubs : Won't know any of that until the trial. If there is one. #msg1941791
