Gas Prices on the Downhill

Hey, there's been a turn of events-prices went up and everyone had something to say. But now they've managed to steady the flow of fuel. Just fluke this happened.

Trump just ordered DOJ to look into high gas prices in places where they have not come down or have barely come down.

I thought that unregulated capitalism is what makes us better than every other country. Trump must be the "big government" that Republicans have been warning us about.

Pekin's gas prices have gotten weird. Usually they're the same all over. Over the weekend, most were $3.89.Today, Marathon on Broadway was 3.99, Kroger had dropped .05 to 3.84;
But the Casey's on N. 8th Street had jumped to 4.19.
Meanwhile, North Pekin and Creve Coeur are down to 4.12. Overall, prices still much higher than February 27, and I doubt we'll see those prices again this year, despite the November election. My opinion and mine alone and not my employer's.

Despite oil being $70ish per barrel, I expect the gas stations to attempt to hold out lowering prices until after the Holiday.We've seen it before, the Monday after the holiday, the price drops 20-30 cents per gallon.

If I owned a gas station I'd be holding out as long as I could too.

Beck's in the heights lowered their's a whopping nickel to $4.24/gallon.

I'm just glad that I don't have to fill up every week or two. It's gotta be hard for a working family to keep gas in two cars.

According to Yahoo Finance, oil prices have dropped to about $72-$73 a barrel, lowest since Feb. 27.

Almost every large metropolitan area in Illinois, even parts of Chicago, are under $4 a gallon EXCEPT Peoria. Even BFE areas of Shawnee National Forest is under $3.50/gallon and one is at $3.19!!! $2.89 outside of Terre Haute, IN.
Still say there is a Peoria Gas Mafia. The pricing here is more than just state tax, rainfall tax and city tax.
