Glad to see that they are upgrading the Villa Bordeaux complex. I lived there nearly 30 years ago, and it was a good place to be then. Hope they can bring it back to what it was.

When my uncle was starting to get frail and starting to have health issues we discussed the possibility of him moving there. Took him to see it.However, there was no vacancy at the time. It was a really nice place, Years later It was very distressing to hear of conditions there. Hopefully it can be restored, It was all the more distressing because some very prominent people in Peoria once lived there

@pictureme1 : No, on Knoxville, just north of Glen. Sort of across the street from the Hult Health Education Center.

These used to be upscale apartments back some years. Then the bottom fell out and wow look at them today.

@RambleOn : Thank you. I know where you are talking about. I used to live on Roberts Rd. with my Grandmother not far from there. And, I attended Hines Grade School in 4th grade for half a year. I was going there when JFK was killed.
