I remember a few years ago when there was a lot of gun violence, the local NAACP chapter gave the police its blessing to do 'stop and search' even on African-Americans, if it meant getting bad folks and guns off the street.
At the same time, I've talked to Don Jackson a few times, (when he was still NAACP President), that he and his group tries to educate and enforce upon African-Americans that get stopped....to comply, then complain if they felt they were not treated right.
