Blackfishing?
A new term used to describe white women darkening their skin with makeup and wearing traditionally African American hairstyles. Apparently, the African American women are upset about this because they are posing as someone they're not.

I don't know why it matters. We have men acting as women, women acting as men, white politicians claiming to be Native Americans, and uncrowned homecoming kings now being crowned homecoming queen.

Kind of like African Americans and the "N" word. They use it in normal day-to-day conversation, but boy let a white guy use it, even in the same context, and there's outrage.

@kraziebill : True very true. Years back I had a couple of close AA friends and they loved to hear N jokes. While they were laughing their butts off others were getting P.O. Yet I was always a Honkie to them.

Haven't men and women been darkening their skin for years by sun bathing, using various fancy tanning creams, ointments, and such, and tanning beds over the winter?

@kraziebill : We've had this discussion before - leave it alone. Unless you are somehow transported back in time as an 1800s southern plantation owner, the word is off limits.
