That's not how the tax cuts for the wealthy turned out in reality. They pocketed more than they created jobs. Stock buy-backs is just one thing they did.
Just look at the upward movement of money. The wage gap is wider and wider and wider.Meanwhile, they are getting people to punch down on the kids who have been paying loans for 10-20 years.

Actions have consequences. You sign the papers and take the money, you promised to pay it back under the terms of the contract. If you don't want to pay back loans for 10-20 years, don't sign, don't take the money. Nobody is forcing you to do it.

Forgiveness. The problem is one who need this very few find it. Ones who exploit with abuse of the system get need funds.

My point is that this wide-sweeping forgiveness is a flat-out lie. A lot of the forgiveness is for those who devote their lives to non-profits or have been scammed. I think you have to work for the non-profit for 10 years to qualify.

I would hope that those smart enough to college would be able to grasp the concept that if you take out loans to pay for college that for the next 20 years, 25% of your pay will go to pay back those loans.

To date, $153 billion has been approved by Biden for over 4 million Americans with student loan debt. The plans for additional relief have already been announced, and those figures will dwarf the numbers just cited. Vote-getting at its finest… or worst… depending on your point of view.

@tntrecycling: I spent a lot of time teaching my students how to figure out food cost and production yields. Lets see how well they remember this on their final exam next week. Sometimes it isn't the fact that subjects aren't taught.....

@AntiRanchDrssng : State universities were mostly tax payer funded... students in the 1950s, 1960s and early 70s paid almost no tuition. That is a HUGE leg up in generational wealth building.
