Over 60 Years of Rock N Roll

The Rolling Stones, that is.
And now they've announced a new album coming out July 10. Here's info on their very first US release:

"Foreign Tongues" is the title, and a new single will be released soon.

One of the tracks features drums recorded by the late Charlie Watts before he passed away. It also features appearances by Paul McCartney, Steve Winwood, Chad Smith of RHCP, and Robert Smith of The Cure. The Rolling Stones last album "Hackney Diamonds", was 1st album of new material in 18 years when it came out in 2023. I have it, think it's best since Steel Wheels, another album (on cassette) I own.

My take: if they got the inspiration, the energy, and the drive to keep making music, more power to them. Most recording artists retire and live on their royalties and investments. Some bands only have maybe 1 or 2 original members and still out there performing. Bands like the Stones and AC/DC have more members still performing; I realize there may be others.
We'll see how this album sounds. Mick Jagger's vocals aren't quite the same obviously, but he can still sing.

Their last album was pretty good. I suspect this one will also be a good listen.
