The Bible in schools?

I'm fine with a theology class that covers numerous religions.

We send everyone to private schools, where schools are meant to provide education. Sometimes, false history is taught to students, but you still have to pass the test and get the grade to learn it.

These days, if someone slapped another person in the face, most wouldn't just turn the other cheek. And if someone stole something, few would be willing to hand over their outer garments.
It's surprising how people demand what they want without caring about others. Just because I mention these things, they seem to happen, and many end up doing them.

That's the same in public schools too, moreso today than when I was growing up. Black history is getting wiped out. Studying the Bible as fact, this I'm against. As one book among many theology books, sure. It is a part of our history [that so many people believe this book].

There is the lesson everyone gets the same education. If you say that book is part of education.

School lessons are taken home. Teaching to be first in class isn't the only example everyone needs to follow.

tntrecycling : lessons ar home or at school? Your thread title says school and here you say at home. Which one are we discussing because that's two separate conversations.

AverageSue : Oh, so now it's just school-you didn't have lessons you took home, but rather lessons you brought from home to school. In my freshman year, I did the complete layout for growing marijuana plants in school and wrote a full essay on why the government has refrained from making it legal.

Teaching subjects found in the Bible, like math, science, and the words of language-including nouns, verbs, and sentence structures-also shows that love means not holding on to vengeance.
When words can cause people to do vile things because they don't like what you have to say. What is something you haven't seen in this world yet? That you can say that God is needed in School. It's plain and simple if people do wicked things are they with God.

We're taught to follow the rules, but sometimes it's a tough pill to swallow.

While everyone wants to say they don't judge yet the Bible shows what will be Judge not by man who tells you these things but by God who will bring them about.
(2 Corinthians 5:10) 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of the Christ, so that each one may be repaid according to the things he has practiced while in the body, whether good or bad.

To understand the difference between what the Bible says and what schools want you to believe. All nations are under God, yet they claim one is individually accepted.

which is why I'm against forcing the bible into schools. Your bible has different wording than your neighbor's and their neighbors'. Then there are non-Christian religions too. Fine for theology studies but leave it out of the classroom. I'm fine with having it in libraries (among other religious texts).
