The Bible in schools?

well, you're starting with the assumption I agree with kids saying the pledge. I'm not really in favor of the pledge of allegiance because the kids don't really know what they are pledging. There are states in the south that are forcing, yes forcing, the bible into the classrooms but NO OTHER RELIGIOUS TEXTS (so, sorry, no Watchtower...) and I'm against that. I'd rather bibles, Koran, Torrah, and even JW info, available to learn from. I'm against teaching Christianity (say Methodist) as the one and only truth.I've been consistent with that. As you say/ask "So, the god they ask you to say this to-who is he? " -- which one?? The one that the school administrators tell you is the correct one? The correct way to live according to their one and only religion? No... that's for home... or if your parents don't go to church, you can go on your own. My mom was brought up Catholic but never practiced. I went to church on my own with my friend's family. My brother went with his now-wife, and my sister went on her own as well. I went UCC, my sister went Pentecostal, and my brother Catholic. My oldest brother never went but had a Jewish wedding. I'm not sure if he ever had to do anything to have the Jewish wedding but he doesn't attend any services. Which one of us is correct? Or are you correct, as a JW?? I certainly don't want an administrator dictating which ONE version is going to be available.

tntrecycling : You can't rely on the schools to teach you everything. If you want to learn about the Koran, by all means, go for it.

AverageSue : AverageSue : Bible the simply explained Jehovah God Has present us with a Kingdom free from all that is seen in the world. Jesus our King walked the earth the gift to us. Giving us a purpose other than just death. He showed what the Kingdom will bring curing all illnesses mentally and physically hunger will be no more all what is wickedness in will be gone. Very basic learning.

Bring the King James version with you next time you have a JW "mass" (whatever the JWs call it). Report back and tell us if they say it's the right book or not.

I do not follow or believe in the Christian Nationalism religion. Texas is using a version of the Bible that I do not. I could not live in Texas.

AverageSue : Version makes one think of that mass crowd they wanted to control. Whose version are we talking about. This King who Killed his own mother wrote the Bible.
