Not to brag, but The History and Philosophy of the World's Economic Systems is in the books.
I don't have a grade yet, but after wrapping up a final report on Australia's economy, I'm feeling pretty good. I also want to visit Australia more than ever now, but Yellowstone and marketing classes are next. Yeah, you're right, I'm bragging, but someone's gotta do it!

Congratulations! If I were to do international travel, it would definitely be Australia and New Zealand.

Ditto on congratulations to you! Besides learning German language in high school, we also got to learn about some German culture. I would love to travel to Germany sometime. My paternal great grandparents immigrated from there in late 1800s. But locally, I've yet to attend an Oktoberfest, or take part in one of the many German -American society hosted events at Hickory Grove Park.

I originally dropped references to The Kinks and Olivia Newton-John in my paper, but my proofreader reminded me that this is a college level economics paper, not a lesson in pop culture, lol. Australia and New Zealand have always fascinated me, as does Japan. I'd really like to go there; doubt we ever will. I imagine we'll stick close to home for a little while, relatively speaking, until we rebuild our vacation fund. She's dying for me to see Rome so that's coming one of these years.
Congrats, PI!!
I've got about a year until I retire from working full time at D150. First thing (sorry Dennis, this will make you jealous) is two weeks in Germany. One on a cruise of the Rhine (bucket list item) and then visit relatives. ATM all of my cousins are still alive, although most of them older than me. I've been there twice, but all I remember is going to see one castle after another. No more castles. I have yet to decide whether or not I will continue to teach at ICC. On one hand, it pays just enough to cover my monthly expenses, but on the other hand it ties me to Peoria when I really want to travel and have my health to do it.

Germany is first on my list! I'm trying to learn the language. I was planning a trip pre-covid and it was put on the back burner. Time to start thinking about it again!
PeoriaIllinoisan : Weren't the Kinks British? #msg1942809
@PeoriaIllinoisan : IDNKT. I didn't really get into the Kinks until the early 80s. I still really like the Word of Mouth album, but they had a ton of airplay back then with Destroyer, Come Dancing, Superman and of course Lola. Van Halen's cover of You Really Got Me might have helped introduce them to a whole new audience.

@PeoriaIllinoisan :
I was a big Kinks fan back in the 60s.
The British Invasion was the coolest thing ever.

I loved the British invasion. But I never really got into the Kinks that much
