I am hardly a lifelong fan of her work... but I recognize that she was a giant among song writers and performers. She was a genuinely good person who did positive things for the world.

I'm was midway through episode 5 when my next pickup came through. Pick up a Zachary from the Par-A-Dice. Please don't be the wife beater. Please don't be the wife beater. Then I contemplated what I would do if it was the wife beater. Should I cancel the trip and leave him sitting at the curb? In the spirit of the podcast I I decided that I would channel my inner Dolly stay above the fray.

It wasn't the same Zachary, thankfully, but he was plastered, and on the ride home, he ordered a large pepperoni pizza with a side of wings and ranch dressing.
