Going to CaliforniaI picked up a guy in Morton tonight who claimed he'd had six beers but "wasn't good and drunk yet." I'll give him credit though, he's honest, and he called an Uber.I dropped him off at a country bar outside of town. I think it was actually called The Country Bar. Go figure. Since I was there, I went inside to use the restroom.Nice little place. It had a pool table. "Going to California" from Led Zeppelin IV was playing. Someone was singing along.I got back in my car, plugged in my phone, and got ready to leave.15,231 songs on my phone were on shuffle.Something hummed - then flashed - like the flux-capacitor was firing up. Then the unbelievable happened."Going to California" came on.You've GOT to be kidding me!Now, I'm no mathematician, but the odds of that song coming up would be simply one in 15,231. Then I asked Google the odds of a specific song starting at a specific moment, such as what just happened, and the answer was 1 in 2.7 million.One in 2.7 million!So now I'm sitting there outside The Country Bar, listening to Zeppelin, wondering what in the world is going on here!Maybe it was a random coincidence. Maybe it was cosmic intervention. Whatever it was, it was weird as hell.
