Since the old thread is locked due to no responses in 7 days, figured I would give an update. After the fall, I spent 3 days in the hospital and had a bunch of tests. As I was finishing up what appears to be successful treatment for lung cancer, a spot was was found on the left boob. Course of treatment yet to be determined. I now have referrals to the Orthopedist, Physical and Occupational Rehab, Cancer Institute, Illinois Lung Institute, Cardiovascular Institute, Radiation Oncologist, Surgeon at Cancer Institute, had a MRI, will have PET Scan Tuesday. Will meet with potential new Primary Provider later this month. Am also in the process of getting dentures. On the bright side, my issues are being addresses, neither the hip or elbow require surgery and I am not in pain. Needless to say, I am not spending as much time on line as I was and my attitude is pretty darn good. Getting old is no fun though!

I'm glad things are being addressed. Hoping better days ahead!
I thought all the doctors my wife has visited in last 6 months trying to get cured of her off balance and ear pain issues was a lot, but @RambleOn is a lot more, wow! I can only hope and pray all will go well for you, especially beating the cancer issue. I'm considering ourselves very lucky neither one of us has had to deal with cancer. Knock on wood. Short answer is her Carle Neurologist said she did have a mini-stroke sometime before December 3, now the supposedly best OSF Neurologist in the area we saw this past Thursday for 2nd time said to have her jaw checked out for TMJ for her ear pain. And since Carle Health took forever to return phone calls for therapy referral, wife is having OSF refer to balance therapy. And all her issues didn't start until she was in the ER at beginning of December.
