Star Wars Fans?

Surely some PDC folks here are fans, or have seen some of the many movies and series over the last 49 years. (Yes, 2027 marks 50 years since original Star Wars was released!)

Now, I've seen all 9 SW movies, 8 of them multiple times. I've only seen Episode 9 Rise of Skywalker once, in a theater. I've enjoyed the Disney+ series, including the animated "Bad Batch", but not so much on other animated series. Obiwan Kenobi, Andor, The Book of Boba Fett, The Acolyte, and the Mandolorian are must see series. The series involving Jude Law as a pirate leading kids around the galaxy...eh, it was ok. Now, Rogue One was good, but Han Solo was so so.
I still haven't seen the Mandalorian/Grogu feature length film.

There's talk of an Episode 10 being filmed, but don't know plot or how many of 7-9 cast will be back.

Meanwhile, as said in another thread, the Cornbelters hosted a Star Wars night, and we managed a pic with some Stormtroopers and Mandolorians (including 1 with an animatronic Grogu.)

Saw the original in the theater in '77, along with the other two (Empire Strikes Back & Return of the Jedi) of the first trilogy when they were released. Haven't seen seen any in the theater since. I have the original 3 on widescreen LD before the CGI butchering.

I don't mind the new movies & series, but haven't wasted my time or money in the theater for over a decade on any movie.

I actually didn't see the original Star Wars until around January 20, 21, 1978. Had heard a lot about it, but just never got around until I asked a girl I'd been dating if she wanted to go. She had already seen it 3 times, but still went. We went to an early Sunday afternoon matinee in Morton, and not knowing how long the movie was, I was almost late to work at Pekin Burger King! I was blown away by the special effects and all the different alien characters. And I really liked the sideline story of the droids C-3PO and R2D2. Of course, Darth Vader was bigger than life, with James Earl Jones's voice making that character unforgettable. And can't forget the Millennium Falcon!
