"Former US ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul has criticised the Trump administration's plans to build a 250 foot Great Triumphal Arch near Arlington National Cemetery, calling the project inappropriate for the United States.
McFaul responded on X after Interior Secretary Doug Burgum announced that excavation work for the proposed monument would begin within the next two weeks. The arch is planned for Memorial Circle on Columbia Island, between the Lincoln Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery.
"Usually imperial emperors build such things after they have won some great war. But we are not an empire. We are not ruled by a monarch. And Trump has not won any great war. Americans don't need this. Let Trump build his own monument on his own dime down in Florida."
McFaul's comments come as the project faces a legal challenge from veterans and an architectural historian, who argue that congressional authorisation is required. A federal judge has also ordered the administration to provide advance notice before carrying out activity at the site. "

This pretty much explains a lot about the current WH administration and the POTUS attitude towards obeying courts and laws...and the Constitution.

Power becomes more dangerous when Congress refuses meaningful oversight and officials learn that defiance carries little personal cost. Trump's confidence does not come only from personality. If court orders can be ignored without serious consequences, what exactly prevents presidential power from becoming lawless?"

In my opinion and mine alone, one monument dedicated to him as President is one too many. Even though I'm sure each President has a monument perhaps in their home state, with the exception of Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln and Roosevelt. We know MAGAs and some GOP have proposed adding his face to Mt. Rushmore. Now, if he wants a monument dedicated to him as Trump, Inc. CEO, then have his sons pay for that.

5. 26 sexual assault cases.
6. Epstein Island client.
7. Grifting from a political position.
8. Rape conviction in the E. Jean Carroll case.
9. Increased the national debt more than any president in American history.
10. Pardoned numerous friends convicted of several crimes.
11. Profited from Crypto currency scam.
12. Accepted numerous gifts from enemy nations.
13. Friends with leaders of Russia and N. Korea.
14. Bombed a children's school in Iran.
15. Called American veterans and soldiers "suckers and losers."
16. Has our current fuel prices at an all time high..
17. Carrying out several vanity projects that the majority of Americans do not want.
18. Named friends and supporters to important cabinet positions.
19. Has a wife who is rarely seen with him in public and embarrasses the "First Lady" tradition.
20. Has redecorated the White House like a trashy shack.
21. Disrespected and alienated our longest and best Allies.
22. Has the economy sinking fast.
23. Disrespectful towards the media, women and anyone that challenges his decisions.
24. Racist.
25. Uses Tariffs that continually hurt America.
26. Has ICE wreaking havoc on legal and non legal immigrants.
27. Endorses only candidates that support the MAGA agenda.
28. Continually posts ridiculous memes and pictures to social media.
29. LIES at any, every, and all opportunities.
30. Currently interfering in a political election.
