TT races in Peoria Illinois

That looks fun. Unfortunately I have to work. Are you going? Take some pictures.

I got to shoot a story last year as a preview to the races. Guy we interviewed took his bike for a spin around the track, but at a slower speed. I'd love to check out (shoot cell video) of the races, but it's always the same weekend as Abe's Amble 10k/5k race last day of Illinois State Fair, and Springfield daughter/son in law run it, so we watch the grandsons.

Teen rider in Peoria Motorcycle Club race crash dies; sheriff's office investigatingA 15-year-old motorcycle racer from Colorado who was injured in a crash during an event nearly two weeks ago in Bartonville has died, prompting an investigation by the Peoria County Sheriff's Office.Bayne Nantz of Colorado was one of three riders involved in the collision on the Peoria Motorcycle Club track during the Peoria TT race on Aug. 22.Nantz was taken by ambulance to OSF Saint Francis Medical Center immediately after the incident. A reporter and I were out at the PMC, talking to the track manager. 1st time in about 40 years since a fatality from a race accident. More tonight on WMBD News.Feel so sad for the family of this teen, who was up and coming in the race circuit. RIP.

Sad young and still many years ahead. The family will have very different look at Peoria. Knowing they start their engines and roll off the starting line. Legends live and fall. Prayers that they find comforting in all that has happened. Knowing it is hard to lose a son or daughter in life.
