PV II Restaurant - Peoria Restaurants

This place has been around for years, but my husband and I just got around to trying it recently. We had a delightful lunch there. The space is open, but inviting. We both opted for seafood dishes. My husband had the scallops, while I chose the shrimp. We both chose to have soup instead of the house salad (additional $1 charge for soup). My husband ordered the chicken gnocchi soup. It was very flavorful, and full of chunks of chicken and tender gnocchi. I had the spinach and egg soup. I love soups, and this was one of the best I've ever had. It was a mild chicken broth with lots of fresh spinach, and delicious egg/parmesan dumplings. Our entrees were equally satisfying. The scallops and shrimp (I ordered grilled instead of blackened) were perfectly cooked...as was the linguini served with them. The scallops were served with sautéed mixed vegetables, and a light cream sauce. My dish included artichokes, chopped tomatoes, Kalamata olives, and the shrimp tossed in a garlic-herb sauce. Both dishes were delicious. We were also very impressed with the service. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and wines, was friendly, and efficient. We're already planning our next trip back!
