What is education. You say I look down on people who look for education. Education is about more than just textbooks and time spent in the classroom. While you had school to provide, many don't get those opportunities.
Give all the same opportunity. What you experienced in education I did not.

I'd actually disagree education [opportunities] are fair to all. IMO, money shouldn't be a barrier to education, and money shouldn't amplify how far you get. Merit only.

@tntrecycling : Why do you think people don't get opportunities? After high school you can go to ICC for the trades or a formal education. After two years you can enter the workforce or continue on. What's holding you back?

@PeoriaIllinoisan : I worked many jobs today for less than $5.00 an hour. My starting pay was $1.35 when I got my first paycheck. So if you're saying after high school, then what's the issue-why do we need tradesmen?

These days, many charge just to come and see what problem you have. Offer a discount on the work that needs to be done if they choose to hire them for the job. Paying $100 to have them say its junk.
